This is an outstanding chance for a highly experienced solicitor to join a leading national transport provider on an interim basis. As In-House Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in advising on general commercial matters, managing contracts, and handling some litigation, providing essential legal support to ensure seamless business operations.

About the Role

You will be working at the heart of the legal team, providing strategic guidance on key projects and collaborating closely with senior management and external advisors. Your expertise will be invaluable in driving business growth and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts
  • Provide legal advice across various commercial matters and support internal stakeholders
  • Assist with light dispute resolution and litigation matters as required
  • Work closely with senior management and external advisors to drive key legal projects
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • 4+ years PQE as a Solicitor in the UK
  • Strong background in general commercial law and commercial contracts
  • Experience in handling litigation or dispute resolution would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively within a business environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
