Michael Page Legal is seeking an experienced Interim In-House Legal Counsel to join our client, a leading transport sector company, in Birmingham. As a key member of the legal team, you will provide expert legal advice on commercial contracts and agreements, working closely with business stakeholders to negotiate, draft, and review key contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal advice on commercial contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and provide practical, commercially sound legal solutions.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to negotiate, draft, and review key contracts, ensuring effective risk management and resolution.
- Assist with a range of litigation matters, including dispute resolution and negotiation, to ensure effective risk management and resolution.
- Collaborate with external legal advisers when necessary and manage legal processes efficiently to ensure timely and cost-effective resolution of legal matters.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration on legal matters.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years PQE and experience in commercial law, contracts, and litigation.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and ability to provide practical, commercially sound legal solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to provide strategic legal advice and solutions.
