Strategic Planning Expert

Close Brothers Group is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Planning Expert to join our team. As a key member of our Planning Team, you will be responsible for providing high-level expertise in resource planning, budgeting, and forecasting across our Retail operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Forecasting and Planning: Design and implement accurate forecasting models to identify key demand drivers and provide insights to operational teams.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Deliver analysis of contact volume trends to ensure accurate call forecasting and inform strategic decisions.
  • Strategic Headcount Planning: Develop medium and long-term strategic headcount planning, identifying headcount requirements by skill set, future service challenges, and levers to protect service.
  • Risk Management: Provide sensitivity and what-if modelling with control limits on best and worst-case anticipated performance.
  • Performance Monitoring: Ensure variance to performance is understood and ongoing risks are managed.
  • Operational Analytics: Provide analytics on operational performance and efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build effective relationships across operational teams and key business functions to embed the planning process within the organisation.
Requirements:
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Advanced Excel knowledge.
  • Process Implementation: Experience of gaining commitment to processes and projects.
  • Network Building: Record of building an effective network of contacts at different levels in an organisation.
  • Planning and Organisation: Excellent planning and organisational skills with experience of planning and prioritising multiple key objectives.
  • Project Management: Experience of contributing to complex cross-functional or divisional projects.
  • Data Analysis: Able to collect, analyse large quantities of data, provide meaningful information that will answer questions and solve problems.
