Job Description

LTF Recruitment Ltd is seeking a calm, patient, and adaptable Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist resource provision (SRP) in a mainstream primary school. The role involves providing one-to-one support and working in small groups with students who have long-term special educational needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements.

The SRP is designed to provide targeted support for students with complex needs, and the ideal candidate will have experience working with students who require additional support to access the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN and SEMH requirements
  • Work in small groups to support students with complex needs
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons to meet the needs of students with SEN and SEMH requirements
  • Monitor and record student progress, and contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEN and SEMH requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
