About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team at Leonardo Helicopters. As a key member of our Structures Team, you will be responsible for developing structural design solutions in collaboration with other engineering departments and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement structural design solutions for our product range, encompassing conventional helicopters, tilt rotors, and unmanned air systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure airworthiness compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Conduct static and dynamic analysis, including finite element analysis and fatigue assessment.
  • Mentor and lead teams of Structural Engineers to achieve delivery of fit-for-purpose design solutions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in structural analysis and design, with a strong understanding of finite element analysis and fatigue assessment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to own problems and provide pragmatic solutions.
  • Experience with MSC NASTRAN and Altair HyperMesh is highly desirable.
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of airworthiness regulations, including MAA, EASA, and FAA.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring teams of engineers to deliver projects successfully.
  • Ability to plan and execute tasks to achieve timescales and costs.
