About the Role

The North Northamptonshire Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Executive Assistant to provide executive support to the Corporate Leadership Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the council's executive functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide primary support to one Executive Director and assist with the coordination of executive support to the Corporate Leadership Team.
  • Review and filter correspondence to the Executive Director, exercising judgment and directing correspondence as appropriate.
  • Undertake research and project development work on behalf of the Corporate Leadership Team as required.
  • Deal with Member and MP enquiries, and coordinate and draft responses in conjunction with relevant officers and the corporate complaints team.
  • Prepare agendas, attend meetings, and draft minutes as requested.
  • Manage the time commitments of the Corporate Leadership Team, liaising with other support staff, senior managers, and external organizations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a recognized qualification in business administration, such as RSA, OCR, or BTEC, and equivalent experience. You will also be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Teams.

You will have demonstrable experience in an executive support or managerial environment, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels. You will also have excellent time management skills and be able to manage your own workload and deadlines.
