About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Conference Research Assistant to join our Editorial team at Westminster Forum Projects. This is a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of policy issues affecting Wales and contribute to the production of high-quality conferences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research on policy issues, emerging trends, and potential speakers to inform conference content.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure conferences are up-to-date, relevant, and inclusive, with a focus on engaging diverse stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement conference agendas, invitations, and promotional materials.
  • Liaise with speakers, chairs, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth conference operations.
  • Attend and contribute to the success of our seminars and receptions, both online and in-person.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong background in policy, conference production, journalism, or a related field. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written communication skills, quick learning abilities, and strong diplomacy and problem-solving skills.

Key qualifications include:

  • Proven experience in policy research, conference production, or a related field.
  • Exceptional written communication skills and ability to adapt to different writing styles.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent diplomacy and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
