About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and driven Policy, Research and Partnerships Senior Officer to advance the work of End Youth Homelessness Cymru (EYHC). Reporting to the Head of EYHC and working closely with the EYHC steering group, you will play a vital role in driving policy change across various social policy areas directly impacting youth homelessness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of effective policy strategies aimed at addressing youth homelessness in Wales.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to inform policy recommendations and advocacy efforts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations.
  • Represent Llamau and EYHC at relevant meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Contribute to the development of compelling communications materials to raise awareness about youth homelessness and advocate for policy change.
Essential Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A deep understanding of homelessness issues, particularly those affecting young people in Wales.
  • Experience working with government agencies and policymakers on social policy issues.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach to work.
