About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Chemotherapy Staff Nurse to join our Oncology team at Nuffield Health Oxford. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of building a healthier nation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer Chemotherapy Treatments: You will be responsible for administering chemotherapy treatments to patients according to prescribed protocols, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.
  • Patient Monitoring and Assessment: You will closely monitor and assess patients during and after chemotherapy sessions, identifying any potential issues and taking prompt action to address them.
  • Collaboration and Communication: You will work closely with oncologists, healthcare team members, and patients to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Patient Education and Support: You will educate patients and their families on chemotherapy procedures, potential side effects, and self-care measures, providing emotional support and guidance throughout their treatment journey.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: You will maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience: You must be a registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience in oncology or a related field, including NMC registration.
  • Skills and Competencies: You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
