About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Nurse Specialist Practitioner to join our established ICC specialist team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical support, education, and input to the development of patient pathways in the Oxford Inherited Cardiac Conditions (ICC) Service.
  • Work closely with Consultants, Specialist Registrars, Genetic Counsellors, specialist nursing teams, and other multidisciplinary staff to deliver high-quality care to patients and their families.
  • Develop and implement nurse-led clinics, telephone clinics, and other services to support patients living with ICCs.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and improve patient pathways, services, and processes.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (part 1, 8, 12, or 15 of the register depending on area of practice).
  • First-level degree (HEI level 5 or 6) in nursing, midwifery, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable postgraduate level working experience in the relevant area of clinical practice.
  • Teaching, assessment, and mentoring qualification.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Registered Non-medical prescriber.
  • Completed or completing Master's level (HEI level 7) qualification.
  • Leadership role or experience in multidisciplinary working.
Personal Qualities
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
  • Willingness to work towards the level of advanced practice.
