Position Overview

Compliance Counsel - Financial Crime and Anti-Money Laundering (AML)

IDEX Consulting Ltd is in search of a Compliance Counsel specializing in Financial Crime and AML. The ideal candidate will deliver expert guidance on financial crime legislation, encompassing AML and sanctions, to the firm's Partners, legal professionals, and operational teams.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject-matter authority on AML and sanctions adherence.
  • Oversee and manage AML and sanctions frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Address intricate Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and risk evaluation inquiries, along with internal suspicious activity reports (SARs).
  • Execute and apply recommendations from independent AML evaluations.
  • Develop and present AML/Sanctions educational programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed attorney with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in Financial Crime and AML.
  • Background in a City or international law firm, or a prominent regional firm.
  • Strong academic credentials coupled with exceptional communication abilities.
  • Proficient in public speaking and advising high-level stakeholders.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement.
