Core Responsibilities:
- Offer specialized legal guidance on compliance issues, ensuring adherence to UK and EU legislation.
- Advocate for clients during compliance inquiries and regulatory actions.
- Prepare and evaluate compliance documentation, including policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
- Perform comprehensive research on compliance trends and inform clients about their implications.
- Support clients in maneuvering through intricate compliance landscapes, guaranteeing they meet all applicable legal standards.
- Engage with regulatory authorities and other relevant parties on behalf of clients.
- Provide training and updates to clients and internal teams regarding compliance matters and legal modifications.
- Collaborate with various departments to deliver holistic legal assistance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with a robust academic foundation.
- A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in compliance law, ideally within a leading law firm or corporate legal department.
- In-depth understanding of UK and EU compliance frameworks, including financial services, healthcare, environmental, or data protection regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex compliance issues and providing strategic legal counsel.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate and sustain client relationships.
- Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- High degree of professionalism and ethical integrity.
