Uniform Care Specialist - London

The OWO destination includes nine restaurants and three bars, one of which is curated by our signature chef Mauro Colagreco. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Uniform Care Specialist to join the Rooms Department at Raffles London at The OWO.

Reporting to the Laundry Supervisor, you will uphold and repair all staff uniforms to the highest standards as required, providing exceptional workmanship in assisting with guest alterations. You will assist in the distribution and tracking of staff uniforms promptly and collaborate closely with the laundry team to ensure seamless operations and prevent discrepancies. You will represent Raffles with distinction during interactions with guests and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities as the Uniform Care Specialist:

  • Communicate any issues or concerns regarding uniforms with the laundry manager or executive housekeeper.
  • Inspect and repair staff uniforms as necessary, informing the Laundry Manager of any garments that are beyond repair.
  • Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and functioning properly, reporting any malfunctions immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the uniform area.
  • Monitor stock levels of seamstress supplies.
  • Oversee the quality of returned guest garments and uniforms from external contractors.
  • Be flexible and adaptable, pressing guest garments and staff uniforms as directed.
  • Adhere to the Lost Property procedure.
