Position Overview

Create Recruitment Specialists Ltd is collaborating with a prominent fashion designer known for their innovative approach to high-end evening wear.

We are seeking a skilled Couture Garment Technician to join their team, focusing on bespoke tailoring and exclusive collection pieces.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in a couture setting, demonstrating proficiency in managing intricate designs, draping techniques, and the meticulous handling of delicate fabrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop original patterns manually and modify existing designs as required.
  • Utilize various methods for pattern creation, including draping, fabric manipulation, and flat pattern drafting.
  • Adjust mannequins to accurately reflect client measurements and proportions.
  • Translate client specifications into patterns based on design sketches or photographs.
  • Collaborate closely with designers and seamstresses to ensure the final garments align with the creative vision.
  • Follow detailed specifications and implement necessary adjustments to finalize patterns for production.
  • Participate in fittings as needed to ensure proper garment fit.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven ability to innovate and challenge traditional garment construction techniques.
  • Strong foundation in garment assembly, including expertise in corsetry.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and precision in work.
  • Ability to assist with fittings and collaborate effectively with the team for alterations.
  • Creative mindset towards textile experimentation and garment design.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to workload fluctuations during peak periods.
  • Experience with bridal wear is advantageous but not mandatory.

The successful applicant will have a background in couture garment construction, be available for immediate engagement, and excel in a dynamic work environment.

As a temporary position, a competitive salary will be offered, with weekly payment.
