Position Overview

Create Recruitment Specialists Ltd is collaborating with a prominent fashion designer known for their innovative approach to high-end evening wear.

We are seeking a skilled couture garment pattern specialist to join their creative team, focusing on bespoke orders and collection items.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in a couture setting, demonstrating proficiency in managing intricate designs, draping techniques, and the precise fitting of mannequins to individual measurements, as well as working with delicate and embellished textiles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop original manual patterns and modify existing designs as required.
  • Utilize various methods for pattern creation, including draping, fabric manipulation, and flat pattern drafting.
  • Accurately pad mannequins to reflect client specifications.
  • Translate client measurements into patterns based on design sketches or photographs.
  • Collaborate closely with designers and seamstresses to ensure garments align with the creative vision.
  • Follow specifications and feedback to finalize patterns for grading and mass production.
  • Participate in fittings as needed to ensure proper garment fit.

Candidate Profile:

  • Innovative in creating unique silhouettes and eager to explore advanced garment construction techniques.
  • Strong foundation in garment construction, including knowledge of corsetry.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to assist with fittings and collaborate effectively with the team for necessary adjustments.
  • Creative mindset towards textile experimentation and garment design.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Flexibility to adapt during peak workload periods.
  • Experience with bridal wear is a plus but not mandatory.

The successful applicant will have a background in couture pattern making, be available for immediate engagement, and excel in a dynamic work environment.

As a temporary position, a competitive salary will be offered, with weekly payment.
