Aquatic Program Manager

We are seeking an Aquatic Program Manager to oversee the effective operation, enhancement, and administration of our group and individual swimming initiatives. From innovating the Swim program in alignment with industry standards to ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience, the Aquatic Program Manager plays a vital role in shaping our members' journey.

Your Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Family Activities Manager and collaborating closely with Swim Instructors and the broader club team, the Aquatic Program Manager will be tasked with:

  • Creating, managing, and executing a comprehensive in-club Swim program, adhering to industry guidelines and seasonal activities.
  • Ensuring Swim instructors adhere to Health & Safety regulations and departmental policies to maintain a secure environment, in line with Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults policies.
  • Delivering a high standard of instruction to our members, ensuring that engaging and stimulating activities and lessons are consistently provided by leading the Swim Team.
  • Developing innovative and creative classes based on the National Swim Plan for Teaching Swimming.
  • Overseeing the Swim team, including recruitment, training, development, scheduling, and payroll management.
  • Driving the department to achieve set targets and budgets, enhancing commercial success through staff development to meet Brand Standards.
  • Accountable for achieving financial and departmental KPIs, as well as conducting departmental Health Checks and audits.

Essential Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you will need outstanding interpersonal skills and a flexible mindset. You should be approachable and friendly to colleagues, customers, and their families, with strong organizational and time management capabilities.

  • An ASA Level 2/STA Full Swim Instructor Qualification.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with all stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in a commercial setting, maintaining composure under pressure while working efficiently and courteously.
  • Proficiency in computer use and a willingness to quickly learn new systems and databases.
  • A Lifeguard Qualification or strong swimming skills with a commitment to obtaining certification within the first month of employment.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance prior to commencement.
