Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the execution of projects and manage the workforce across multiple sites, specifically concentrating on wastewater treatment facilities. Your role will involve managing capital projects within the water sector, focusing on the enhancement and resilience of wastewater treatment facilities, with project values reaching up to £10 million. You will be accountable for ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Upholding the highest safety standards while contributing to value engineering and project feasibility.
  • Collaborating with Planners and production teams to establish and agree on project timelines and construction methodologies.
  • Coordinating resources for effective project execution, including the selection of subcontractors.
  • Monitoring and controlling key project metrics such as timelines, resource needs, production rates, and overhead targets.
  • Managing Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) projects.
  • Driving cost control initiatives and forecasting to ensure profitability while managing multiple or larger project packages.

Candidate Profile

This Project Manager position is ideal for individuals who possess:

  • Demonstrated management experience, preferably within the water and wastewater sector.
  • A minimum of HNC in Civil Engineering, along with SMSTS and CSCS certifications.
  • Relevant Civil Engineering expertise in non-infrastructure projects, including experience with Mechanical and Electrical works.
