We are seeking a Project Manager to become a vital part of our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks Team, specifically focusing on our Water Framework.
Location: Covering various sites with a primary emphasis on the midlands and South Yorkshire.
Contract: Permanent - Full Time, with flexible and part-time hours available upon request.
Key Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will oversee project execution and manage the workforce across various sites, primarily engaged in wastewater treatment initiatives. Your role will involve managing capital projects within the water sector, focusing on upgrades and enhancing the resilience of wastewater treatment facilities, with project values reaching up to £10 million. You will be accountable for ensuring adherence to timelines, budget constraints, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Upholding the highest safety standards while contributing to the project's value engineering and feasibility.
- Collaborating with Planners and relevant personnel to finalize project timelines and construction methodologies.
- Coordinating resources for effective project execution, including selecting appropriate subcontractors.
- Establishing, monitoring, and controlling key project metrics such as timelines, resource allocations, and production rates.
- Managing Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) projects.
- Driving cost control initiatives and forecasting to ensure project profitability while managing multiple or larger work packages.
Qualifications
This Project Manager position is ideal for candidates who possess:
- Demonstrated management experience, preferably within the water and wastewater sector.
- A minimum of HNC in Civil Engineering, along with SMSTS and CSCS certifications.
- Relevant Civil Engineering experience in non-infrastructure projects, including Mechanical and Electrical works.
