About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Crisis Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team in the South Glasgow Mental Health Crisis Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide support to individuals with complex mental health needs who present in crisis and require intensive mental health care and treatment at home as an alternative to hospital admission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing assessment, including risk assessment, while liaising with and updating multiple stakeholders – GPs, CMHT, MHAU, Specialist Services, and 3rd sector organisations.
  • Work closely with inpatient services to facilitate early discharge from hospital.
  • Supervise the practice of student nurses on placement, while evaluating their practice.
  • Operate within the legal and ethical national frameworks, adhering to local, national, and organisational policies and guidance relating to professional conduct, practice, and contractual obligations.
Requirements
  • Meaningful post-registration experience in mental health.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience of managing significant risk within the field of mental health.
  • Effective and responsive communication skills within the multi-disciplinary team and across multiple stakeholders.
