NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde is a prominent healthcare system in the UK, employing a wide range of professionals in various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide comprehensive healthcare services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million through our regional and national services.

This is a full-time permanent position of 37 hours per week, operating 7 days a week between 0900hrs and 2000hrs Monday to Friday, and 0900-1700hrs on Saturday and Sunday. Long days are available.

The successful candidate must be a Registered Nurse in Mental Health with the NMC or a registered Occupational Therapist. The post requires PVG scheme membership/Disclosure Scotland check.

A current driving license and use of a car are essential for the post.

The Senior Crisis Practitioner will provide support to individuals with complex mental health needs who present in 'crisis' and require intensive mental health care and treatment at home as an alternative to hospital admission.

The post holder will work closely with inpatient services to facilitate early discharge from hospital, carrying out ongoing assessment, including risk assessment, while liaising with and updating multiple stakeholders – GPs, CMHT, MHAU, Specialist Services, and 3rd sector organisations.
