Position Overview
We are pleased to announce an opportunity within Livewell Southwest for a Community Nursing Team Supervisor to lead our dedicated nursing team. This full-time, permanent role is designed for individuals who are passionate about community healthcare and team management.
As a seasoned professional, either at Band 6 or currently at Band 7, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of community nurses and healthcare assistants in a picturesque rural setting. This role requires a commitment to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our community.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing daily operational leadership for a team of community nurses and healthcare assistants.
- Ensuring effective workload distribution across the team.
- Managing a team of Band 6 nurses.
- Overseeing budget management and ensuring timely processing of invoices and expenses.
- Maintaining safe staffing levels and updating scheduling systems.
- Facilitating regular team meetings to promote communication and collaboration.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Addressing incidents and safeguarding concerns promptly.
- Supervising caseloads and providing guidance to team members.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including general practitioners and social workers.
- Monitoring staff wellbeing and providing support as needed.
- Ensuring ongoing training and competency development for team members.
