Position Summary:

We are collaborating with an innovative and globally recognized architectural firm celebrated for their commitment to creating environments that enhance community interactions within urban settings. They are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Technical and Compliance Architect to oversee multiple projects within the firm.

Based in their impressive workspace, you will be a seasoned architect with a proven track record of guiding projects through all RIBA stages, possessing robust technical expertise. You will work alongside a talented team of architects and management, focusing on ensuring compliance with building regulations for project submissions to secure necessary approvals. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about architectural design, possesses strong technical skills, and has a keen interest in the integration of architectural processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Building Regulation and Planning Department services, ensuring adherence to the Building Safety Act.
  • Maintain compliance tracking systems for each project and oversee design progress.
  • Present architectural concepts at meetings and industry events, highlighting compliance aspects.
  • Stay informed about building regulations and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate contributions from project teams and consultants regarding compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet project deadlines and compliance protocols.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancement and assist in the development of office systems and policies.
  • Support business development efforts through proposals and marketing initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
  • Engage in the recruitment process and represent the firm at industry events.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A degree in architecture with ARB registration or equivalent credentials.
  • A minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience working on advanced stages of large-scale projects.
  • Experience with Higher Risk Buildings is advantageous for this position.
  • A compelling portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency and design detail.
  • A strong enthusiasm for architectural design, theory, and history.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and visual.
