Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Compliance Specialist to play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of imported products of animal origin into the UK. As a key member of our team at HallMark Veterinary & Compliance Services, you will be responsible for implementing official border controls, enforcing legislation, and providing training and guidance on relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing official border controls for Products of Animal Origin (POAOs)
- Enforcing legislation to prevent the importation of non-compliant food or feed consignments
- Providing training and guidance on the implementation of relevant regulations
- Monitoring and adhering to cleaning and disinfection procedures for biosecurity controls
Requirements:
- Proven experience in international Health Regulations and infectious disease control
- In-depth knowledge of UK and EU legislation, DEFRA, FSA, and relevant policy
- Ability to work as part of a 24/7 rota, including unsocial hours
- UK Driving License and vehicle
