Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Compliance Legal Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our compliance team, including:

  • Document Preparation
    • Preparing and proofreading documents for execution, including contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
    • Issuing letters to customers and business partners.
  • Database Management
    • Maintaining and updating databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Research and Compliance
    • Conducting ad hoc legal research to support compliance initiatives.
    • Carrying out Know Your Customer (KYC) checks and preparing and issuing account opening documents to new customers.
  • Administrative Support
    • Writing minutes and circulating them to the Directors and other relevant staff.
    • Ad hoc filings to regulatory bodies (e.g. new director appointments).

Requirements

  • Previous experience of working within a legal/compliance department is preferred.
  • Financial services (regulated environment) experience would be advantageous.
  • Passion for legal/regulatory work and eager to learn from others and independently.
  • Co-operative nature and able to work both within the team and without supervision.
