Ophthalmic Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ophthalmic Consultant to join our team at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Ophthalmology department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality eye care services to our patients.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with a range of eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, and age-related macular degeneration. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans, and contribute to the development of our ophthalmic services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality clinical care to patients with eye conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to the development of our ophthalmic services, including service improvement initiatives
- Work closely with our community visual screening programme and diabetic eye screening programme
- Participate in teaching and training activities to support the development of our staff
