Ophthalmic Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ophthalmic Consultant to join our team at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Ophthalmology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist ophthalmic care to patients, including cataract and oculoplastic surgery
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our ophthalmology services
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in teaching and training activities to support the development of our staff
- Contribute to the development of our department's strategic plan and objectives
- Eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register or eligible for inclusion within 6 months of interview date
- Full registration with the GMC
- FRCOPHTH or Equivalent CCST in Ophthalmology
- Minimum 8 years clinical experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire a multi-disciplinary team
