Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Loads Engineer to lead our Integrated Load Analysis (ILA) team in the design and development of fixed and floating offshore wind projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement ILA processes, including setup of ILA processes, pre and post processing tool chain.
  • Manage and lead the ILA team, including recruitment and team training.
  • Create and calibrate equivalent wind turbine models, including fixed and floating controller development.
  • Review and interpret metocean data.
  • Interpret wind data and set up wind design input, including site-specific wind farm wind analysis.
  • Perform independent load calculations using aero-elastic codes like Open Fast, OrcaFlex, and Bladed.
  • Experience with load assessment for floating substructures is an advantage.
  • Manage projects from tender to certification.
  • Assist with the review and checking of contracts for engineering work.
Requirements:
  • Profound understanding of structural dynamics, aeroelastics, control, meteorological, and oceanographic principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in ILA and knowledge of ILA software and applicable standards (IEC, DNV).
  • Demonstrated experience in project execution and offshore wind farm certification.
  • Solid general wind turbine knowledge.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
Education:
  • M.Sc. degree or higher in mechanical engineering, physics, or a related discipline.
