As a Student Support Assistant, you will collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and SEN Manager to oversee and assist students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Your primary objective will be to facilitate effective learning for these students, both individually and in group settings, while taking into account their unique requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing academic support across Key Stages 3 to 5, focusing on language, reading, writing, spelling, and mathematics.
  • Encouraging student engagement and enhancing social skills.
  • Implementing specialized programs and tracking student progress, along with reporting findings.
