Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Duty Manager to join our team at Hotel du Vin. As a Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of our hotel's customer-facing departments, including Food and Beverage and Front Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of multiple departments, including Food and Beverage and Front Office.
  • Work closely with the breakfast team, manage check-out periods, and collaborate with the Housekeeping Manager to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest relations and experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with local trends and developments to inform business decisions.
  • Progress to a Head of Department role, overseeing a single department, and eventually to a senior HOD role within Malmaison or Hotel Du Vin.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
