We are seeking a qualified HR Consultant with a CIPD Level 5 certification, possessing a solid understanding of absence management, employee well-being, and family-friendly policies.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work within a reputable and collaborative organization on a temporary contract.


ROLE OBJECTIVE

In a dynamic work environment, you will deliver a professional and proactive HR advisory service, both via telephone and in writing, to managers at various levels throughout the organization, focusing on the management of employee absence and well-being.

Your responsibilities will include providing guidance to managers on absence and well-being issues, ensuring optimal outcomes for both the organization and its employees, particularly in relation to managing both short and long-term absences, flexible working arrangements, and family-friendly policies.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Actively participate as a member of the HR team, fostering effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of cases, prioritizing tasks based on individual case needs and deadlines.
  • Ensure adherence to best employment practices by offering clear advice aligned with the organization's HR policies and guidelines.
  • Provide practical solutions to managers while considering legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Work independently, using initiative, while seeking guidance from senior colleagues when necessary.
  • Utilize opportunities to coach managers on effective people management, including communication and decision-making.
  • Prepare and review documentation for formal meetings, providing feedback to managers as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of case management details in the Case Management System, ensuring proactive case management.
  • Collaborate with fellow HR Advisors to ensure a consistent approach and application of policies.
  • Meet or exceed all relevant service level agreements.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Proven experience in managing various HR cases.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment law and its implications for employers.
  • Confident communication style suitable for all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • CIPD qualification (preferably Level 5) is desirable.
  • Experience in providing HR solutions in challenging situations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and respond constructively to feedback.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
