About the Role

The Family Surgery is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Salaried GP to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to our patients, working collaboratively with our team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical services to our patients, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Work autonomously, taking ownership of patient care and making decisions in accordance with best practice and clinical guidelines.
  • Contribute to the effective management of the practice, participating in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Participate in practice meetings, contributing to the development and implementation of practice policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Full GMC registration and National Performers List registration (England).
  • Appropriate defence indemnity and evidence of current validation.
  • Eligibility to practice in the UK independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in EMIS and other practice management systems.

The Family Surgery is a well-established, innovative, and hardworking practice located in Birkdale, Southport. We are a supportive team that values collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement. Our team comprises of 2 GP Partners, 2 salaried GPs, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 GP Assistant, and other healthcare practitioners, all supported by our receptionists and administration team.
