Salaried GP

The Family Surgery is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salaried GP to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to our patients, working autonomously and collaboratively with our team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver highly effective medical care to our entitled population, adhering to the primary care contract and local/national guidelines.
- Provide services commensurate with the primary care contract, including generic prescribing and effective management of long-term conditions.
- Process administration in a timely manner, including referrals, investigations, repeat prescription requests, and other associated administrative tasks.
- On a rotational basis, undertake on-call duties and maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy, and guidance.
- Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload, and adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process.
- Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice, including clinical governance and training.
- Ensure compliance with the appraisal process and prepare and complete the revalidation process.
- Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team.
- Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure.
- Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies, and encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly.
- Full GMC registration
- National Performers List registration (England)
- Appropriate defence indemnity
- Evidence of current validation
- Evidence of last appraisal
- Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
- Minimum of two years as a salaried GP
- General understanding of the primary care contract
- Experience of QOF and clinical audit
- Experience of medicines management
- Experience of ICB initiatives
