About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Clarke Energy. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for producing electrical design and engineering solutions for power generation facilities, including energy storage, hydrogen, solar, wind, microgrids, gas-powered generation, and combined heat and power plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate and develop conceptual designs into detailed designs that meet functional and contractual specifications.
  • Support the sales stage of projects by providing design and tender preparation documents.
  • Liaise with mechanical design engineers to identify project requirements and develop detailed designs.
  • Coordinate and lead the production of design packages to ensure timely delivery and high quality standards.
  • Provide support to project managers during design, installation, commissioning, and testing phases.
  • Liaise with customers and their representatives as necessary.
  • Participate in HAZOP and risk assessment studies.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality management policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (HNC/HND with substantial relevant experience).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an associated industry with a background in power generation (1-25MW).
  • Knowledge of low and medium voltage power trains and associated control and instrumentation.
  • Good IT skills, including MS Office.
