About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Clarke Energy. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for producing electrical design packages for our power generation projects, ensuring the timely production of all necessary documentation and adhering to our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate and develop conceptual designs into detailed designs to meet the functional and contractual specifications of secured orders.
  • Support and assist in the sales stage of a project by providing conceptual design and tender preparation documents to meet customer requirements.
  • Liaise with Mechanical Design Engineers to identify project requirements and develop detailed designs.
  • Coordinate and lead the production of design packages to ensure timely delivery and high standards of quality.
  • Provide support to Project Managers during the design, installation, commissioning, and testing phases of projects.
  • Liaise with customers and their representatives as necessary.
  • Participate in HAZOP and risk assessment studies.
  • Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality management policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with design standards and specifications.
  • Support Electrical Engineers in terms of advice, development, and approval of design documents.
About You
  • You will have a degree in Electrical Engineering (HNC/HND or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a related industry with a background in power generation.
  • You will have knowledge of low and medium voltage power trains and associated control and instrumentation.
  • You will have good IT skills, including MS Office.
  • You will be a team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
