Health & Safety Manager – Construction – Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire
About the Company
Our client, a well-established player in the construction industry, is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health and safety across the company's operations.
Health & Safety Manager – The Role
- Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a culture of health and safety.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety best practices and ensure they are aware of their responsibilities.
- Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of health and safety performance, including incident reports and risk assessments.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Health & Safety Manager – Requirements
- NEBOSH Construction qualification or equivalent.
- Proven track record in a similar role in the construction industry or quarries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving license.
- Previous experience with change management.
- Membership of a professional body – beneficial.
- Environmental management qualification/experience - beneficial.
