About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charity Audit Senior Manager to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our Audit team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit work for the benefit of the public interest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a major point of contact within the firm, working closely with the Partner to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at senior levels.
  • Develop a strong commercial understanding of the audited entities' businesses and identify opportunities for additional billings.
  • Recruit, retain, develop, and motivate our employees, including participating in graduate recruitment and ensuring job appraisal documentation is completed within deadlines.
  • Complete assignments within agreed budgets and timescales, ensuring accurate and transparent reporting to all relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
  • ACCA/ACA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent.
  • Previous experience of managing people and a good working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP, and Financial Reporting requirements.
  • Working knowledge of financial products, firm services, issues regarding advice and regulation, and compliance, including anti-money laundering.
  • Experience of systemscontrols testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts, and disclosures.
  • Project Management experience.
