Registered Nurse - Surgical Assessment Unit

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Assessment Unit at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

The Surgical Assessment Unit accepts referrals from various sources, including GP, walk-in clinics, WMAS, and other units, for surgical specialties such as general surgery, urology, vascular, ENT, and maxfax. We welcome applications from nurses who are passionate about delivering exceptional care and are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for our patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide optimal patient care, ensuring efficient communication with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to corporate objectives, adhering to local, Trust, and statutory guidelines and policies.
  • Responsible for clinical assessment and management of patients, involving patients and users in care planning.
  • Organize cross-departmental activities to support patient care pathways.
  • Demonstrate technical and practical skills to ensure optimum patient care management.
