Registered Nurse - Surgical Assessment Unit

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Assessment Unit at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

The Surgical Assessment Unit accepts referrals from various sources, including GP, walk-in clinics, WMAS, and other units, for surgical specialties such as general surgery, urology, vascular, ENT, and maxfax. We welcome applications from nurses who are passionate about delivering exceptional care and are enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide optimal patient care, ensuring efficient communication with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to corporate objectives, adhering to local, Trust, and statutory guidelines and policies.
  • Effectively communicate clinical decisions, policy, and care pathways to patients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Responsible for clinical assessment and management of patients, ensuring appropriate care is planned, implemented, and evaluated.
  • Organize cross-departmental activities to support patient care pathways.
