Registered Nurse - Surgical Assessment Unit

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Assessment Unit at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes.

The Surgical Assessment Unit accepts referrals from various sources, including GP, walk-in clinics, WMAS, and emergency departments, for surgical specialties such as general surgery, urology, vascular, ENT, and maxfax. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional care and have a keen interest in surgical emergency care, we encourage you to apply.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide optimal patient care, ensuring efficient communication with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to corporate objectives, adhering to local, Trust, and statutory guidelines and policies.
  • Effectively communicate clinical decisions, policy, and care pathways to patients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Responsible for clinical assessment of patients and management of a team, ensuring appropriate care is planned, implemented, and evaluated.
  • Organize cross-departmental/organisational activities to support patient care pathways.
