Position Overview

We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant to become a vital member of our supportive and skilled team at Oxford University Hospitals. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting the Rehabilitation Therapy Team in delivering exceptional patient care within our healthcare environment.

This position involves organizing and conducting therapeutic evaluations in an inpatient context to aid in the safe transition of patients from hospital to home, under the guidance of a Qualified Occupational Therapist.

The ideal candidate will possess a genuine enthusiasm for working in a healthcare environment, along with strong communication abilities, compassion, and a commitment to respecting and addressing the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities

You will collaborate with Qualified Occupational Therapists and the broader team to provide patient care for individuals undergoing various orthopedic procedures and managing related conditions.

The role offers the chance to design and implement assessments and interventions tailored to patient requirements within an inpatient framework, following the protocols established by the Qualified Occupational Therapist.

If you do not currently possess a QCF/NVQ Level in Health and Social Care, an equivalent qualification, or the Care Certificate, support will be provided to help you complete the Care Certificate.
