Position Summary

The position offers a rotational Band role, allowing the successful candidate to gain experience across various clinical settings, such as:

  • Adult inpatient orthopaedics
  • Paediatric orthopaedics
  • Specialist Surgery Inpatient Ward

Each rotation will last for a designated period, providing a comprehensive learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload and conduct occupational therapy evaluations and interventions with guidance from senior staff.
  • Collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams while also working independently.
  • Stay informed about the latest evidence-based practices.
  • Maintain precise documentation of patient interactions.
  • Take responsibility for personal professional development to enhance therapeutic practices.
  • Participate in weekend and holiday duty rosters.
  • Engage in service enhancement initiatives and projects.
  • Provide support and guidance to unregistered staff and students.

Working Environment

In this role, the selected candidate will receive support from a clinical supervisor and will join a dedicated and passionate team committed to delivering exceptional, patient-focused care. Newly qualified professionals will be enrolled in a comprehensive Preceptorship Programme during their initial year.

We are committed to ongoing supervision and professional growth, utilizing Value Based Appraisals to facilitate continuous learning throughout the rotations. Our large teaching Trust fosters staff development, research initiatives, and quality improvement efforts.
