Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Oxford Centre for Enablement. The successful candidate will have experience working with patients with complex neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, MS, FND, and GBS.

The OT department has excellent resources, including a woodwork workshop and leisure service, a range of standardized assessments, and a team of experienced therapists. We are committed to investing in staff development through regular supervision, joint sessions with our Clinical Specialist OT, and access to regular in-service Occupational Therapy/Interdisciplinary training.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment to in and outpatients with highly complex neurological conditions. They will also be expected to clinically supervise junior Occupational Therapy staff, assistants, technical instructors, and students.

We are looking for a therapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and is committed to ongoing professional development. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a strong interdisciplinary team to provide inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation programmes.

Main Duties of the Job

To provide specialized Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment to in and outpatients with highly complex neurological conditions as an autonomous practitioner, within the Oxford Centre for Enablement and when clinically indicated in patients' homes, workplaces, and other community settings.

To clinically supervise junior Occupational Therapy staff, assistants, technical instructors, and students.

To assist the Lead OT and Highly Specialist OTs in the provision, monitoring, and ongoing development of the service to ensure it continues to meet the needs of the service users and responds to government and trust initiatives.
