U-Educate is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pastoral Manager to join our team in secondary schools based in Handsworth. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will play a vital role in managing student behaviour and providing high-quality pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the senior leadership team in managing student behaviour and implementing behaviour management strategies
- Act as a role model for students and staff, demonstrating high-quality pastoral care and support
- Work in an 'on-call' capacity to ensure students are in their lessons and provide support to classroom teachers as needed
- Remove students from lessons into the internal isolation unit as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with KS3 and KS4 students
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours and remain calm in difficult situations
- Experience working in an 'on-call' or internal isolation unit
- Strong communication and emotional intelligence skills
- Ability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- Up-to-date Safeguarding Training
