About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Officer to join our team at Kier Group. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep of our school premises to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including low-level lamp changing, minor joinery repairs, minor plumbing repairs, machine cleaning, and grounds maintenance.
  • Take deliveries and conduct emergency cleaning as required.
  • Report building maintenance issues to the office team and work with the facilities team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Manage site security and conduct fire and safety precautions across the site.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a maintenance, caretaker, or porter role.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to engage with colleagues and clients in a positive manner.
  • Experience in changing light bulbs, minor repairs, putting up shelves, building flat pack furniture, or a strong interest in DIY.
