We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Officer to join our team at Kier Group. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep of our school premises to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including low-level lamp changing, minor joinery repairs, minor plumbing repairs, machine cleaning, and grounds maintenance.
  • Site Security: Lock and unlock the grounds, manage site security, and conduct fire and safety precautions across the site.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report building maintenance issues to the office team and work with the facilities teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Customer Service: Deliver effective customer service and engage with colleagues and clients in a positive manner.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in a maintenance, caretaker, or porter role.
  • Skills: Ability to perform minor repairs, change light bulbs, and engage with customers in a professional manner.
  • Transferable Skills: We welcome applicants with transferable skills, such as experience in DIY or a strong interest in building maintenance.
