Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will provide counselling services to children and young people, working with a wide range of mild, moderate, and severe clinical presentations, including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, attachment difficulties, and trauma.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counselling support and therapy to children and young people
- Deliver therapy sessions in person or via Zoom or telephone
- Work with a wide range of clinical presentations, including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, attachment difficulties, and trauma
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and other professionals
- Contribute to the development and implementation of counselling services and programs
Requirements:
- Diploma (Level 4) in counselling or equivalent
- Registered Member of an accredited body, such as BACP or BABCP, or working towards accreditation
- Experience of working with children from age 11 within a professional context
- Training and qualification in counselling supervision a valuable asset
