About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager to join our team at Skin Rocks™. As a key member of our New Product Development (NPD) team, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our skincare products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Development Project Management: Manage day-to-day product development project management from concept creation to production, working closely with the Head of Product.
  • Development Sampling and Testing: Manage all development sampling, including formula testing panels and clinical samples, and participate in submission reviews with the Head of Product.
  • Lab and Manufacturer Management: Monitor development testing with labs/manufacturers, ensuring reports are received and reviewed in a timely manner.
  • Packaging Sourcing and Management: Take point in packaging sourcing, feeding into the COG/MOQ management of NPD products.
  • NPD Development Trackers: Update and oversee relevant NPD development trackers as part of development project management.
  • Internal Testing Panel Management: Organize the internal testing panel for new developments, including distribution of samples, monitoring, and presenting responses, to inform NPD.
  • NPD Communication with Design Team: Lead on NPD communication with the Design Team to facilitate packaging design and artwork completion, including reviewing artwork and managing submissions with relevant 3rd parties.
  • Regulatory Compliance Support: Provide assistance to the Regulatory Compliance Officer with certain administrative tasks, such as updating product PIFs, when needed.
  • Product Claims Testing: Support with product claims testing by liaising with the manufacturer to ensure sample requirements are met, labelled, and distributed according to the CPA.
  • NPD Meetings and Action Tracking: Attend weekly NPD meetings and monitor resulting actions to ensure the CPA is on track.
  • Market Data Collation: Compile market data collation when scoping new products to inform new project/developments.
  • Artwork Content Trackers: Work closely with the Regulatory Compliance Officer to create and update artwork content trackers with required information.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of two to three years' experience in NPD within the personal care industry.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
