We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Community Therapy Services team at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to patients in our community hospital wards.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to maximize patient independence and recovery.
- Provide specialist therapy advice and interventions to patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and effective discharge planning.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and students to develop their clinical skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Profession-specific diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.
- Health Professions Council Registration.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in a portfolio, including attendance at recent postgraduate courses relevant to the clinical field.
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy/Royal College of Occupational Therapy.
- Involvement in Special Clinical Interest Groups.
