About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Community Therapy Services team at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to patients in our community hospital wards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to maximize patient independence and recovery.
  • Provide specialist therapy advice and interventions to patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Manage a varied and complex caseload, prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate hospital discharge and inform development of discharge planning.
  • Develop and maintain specialist clinical skills, staying up-to-date with best practices and research in occupational therapy.
Requirements
  • Profession-specific diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.
  • Health Professions Council Registration.
  • Experience in community and rehabilitation settings, with postgraduate training in relevant clinical areas.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
