About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dynamic and integrated therapy team, providing assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for patients with a range of complex needs. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients, working autonomously and demonstrating evidence-based clinical decision making.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to maximize patient independence and recovery.
- Provide specialist therapy advice and interventions to patients, carers, and other professionals, promoting self-management and empowerment.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate hospital discharge and inform development of discharge planning.
- Develop and maintain specialist clinical skills, staying up-to-date with current legislation, research, and best practices.
- Supervise and support junior staff and students, promoting their professional development and contributing to the growth of the therapy team.
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist with:
- Profession-specific diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.
- Health Professions Council Registration.
- Experience of delivering training to colleagues in health and/or other agencies.
- Experience of working in an integrated therapy or multi-professional MDT.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage risk, and demonstrate advanced clinical reasoning.
